Pop-In Community Arts Festival 2019
October 10 @ 6:00 pm - October 16 @ 2:30 pm
The Pop-In Community Arts Festival 2019 is taking place from the 10th – 16th October at the popular south-east London community space, Peckham Levels. View the timetable for the festival here.
After a hugely successful first year, this second edition has been selected as part of The National Lottery Community Fund and offers a series of free arts and wellbeing workshops, such as art, music, dance movement and fitness, alongside social events and an art exhibition. It is aimed at offering people with learning disabilities a chance to connect and be given a visible platform and voice in the wider community.
This year’s festival is focussed on building stronger relationships within the community, including collaborations between local Southwark-based organisations working within the learning disability sector such as St George’s Pop-In, a Camberwell based charity committed to reducing loneliness and isolation by offering fun social opportunities and activities; Cambridge House’s The Camberwell Incredibles, an important social club and space where learning diverse adults can learn and live together; Choice Support’s human rights-based Supported Loving, who lead inclusive workshops looking at what makes good and healthy friendships and relationships, and Stepping Stones, a charity which places emphasis on sharing experiences and learning new skills.
- All activities/workshops are free and open to everyone.
- The festival will take place on Level 5 of Peckham Levels with step-free access located at: Peckham Town Centre Carpark, 95A Rye Lane, SE15 4ST
